MarieAnn C. Raguso

MarieAnn C. Raguso, PhD, is a veteran, writer, and researcher whose work bridges behavioral science, cultural anthropology, and creative expression. Her fiction and poetry appear in NSU's Digressions Literary Journal, Hinnom Magazine, Santa Fe Writers Project, and several academic publications, including her dissertation "Understanding the Transitional Needs of Servicemembers to Veterans" (2024, NSUWorks). She also wrote and co-produced a few indie films and music videos, and explores topics such as death rites, military trauma, and identity through prose, poetry, and ethnographic study. Her voice is both reflective and raw—grounded in science, sharpened by life, and softened by the creative forces.
