Every day life in small town Australia brings me face to face with the beauty of nature, and I have come to relish the isolation and the chance to observe. The evolution and interdependence of human and animal life-cycles fuels my curiosity, and my characters are often taken to places where preconceived notions of self and identity are challenged.

My writing began after a particularly vivid series of dreams where I experienced languages and cultures I'd never imagined, and I began to write them down so I wouldn't forget. This grew into an epic fantasy series loosely influenced by the ancient myths of Mesopotamia, and three questions - what must the lives of angels be like? Where did they come from, and what do they do?

Planet Walkers books 1 to 4 comprise the first book of Songs of the Broken Throne. The multi-book saga explores the fall of an empire from the first loud whispers of discontent to the final stages where rebellion becomes inevitable. In Planet Walkers we see the the first signs and whispers of disaster to come.
