Ashley R Pollard

Ashley Pollard was born in Malaysia, as her father served during the Malaya Emergency. She's had a number of part time jobs, before finally training to be a mental health nurse, and cognitive behavioural psychotherapist before retiring from the NHS.

She has written for Miniature Wargames, Games Master International, and Battlegames, and was a freelancer for FASA Corps BattleTech game on their 3055 Technical Read Out. She also wrote and designed OHMU War Machine.

Ashley has never separated her love of books from enjoying science fiction in film and television, because being of a certain age means Gerry Anderson is a thing.

Like most authors she enjoys reading, and has lost count of the number of books she's read over the years. The first time she became aware that there was such a thing as a science fiction fan was after reading Robert A. Heinlein’s, Red Planet and Farmer in the Sky, which she devoured and immediately bought more of his stories.

Since then she has never looked back.
