Peter Urbanski is an acclaimed author and historian whose life began in the shadow of a secret. Trained from the age of four in the lethal arts of marksmanship and combat, Peter was raised by a man he only fully understood on his deathbed in 1984: Bronisław Urbański, the "White Ghost."
A top-tier "Liquidator" for the elite Unit 993/W, Bronisław was the Polish "King Assassin" and is now officially recognized by many educational resources such as Google, Wikipedia etc. and via Historians, professors, authors as a significant inspiration and physical model for Ian Fleming’s James Bond. The iconic image of Bond, which Fleming famously sketched, has been identified as based on Bronisław's photograph—a connection forged through the legendary SOE operative Krystyna Skarbek (the real-life Vesper Lynd).
Peter’s body of work bridges the gap between Cold War espionage and modern-day counter-terrorism:
To Live Well is to Hide Well (2017): The foundational work that exposed the truth of the Sikorski assassination, now cited by leading historians and investigators worldwide.
Living with James Bond (2025): The definitive account of the 1:1 physical and biographical match between Bronisław Urbański and 007.
The Chapters (2025): A harrowing first-person account of Peter’s 1999 intervention against seven armed terrorists aboard a 747—a chilling precursor to 9/11.
Raised by an Assassin (2025): An intimate psychological exploration of a childhood spent under the tutelage of the world’s most lethal operative.
The Sikorski Investigation (2025–2027)
Following Peter’s relentless research, the IPN Chief Prosecutor officially opened a criminal inquiry into the 1943 sabotage of Liberator AL523. Currently at the center of a historic Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) request between Poland and Australia, Peter is finalizing the evidence required to conclude the investigation. In April 2026, the Australian Federal Police (AFP) conducted several days of intensive video-recorded interviews with Peter, collecting vital physical evidence and photographs. These materials and the recorded testimony were recently reviewed and formally taken into custody by a Polish Delegate team for the ongoing inquiry into General Sikorski’s mysterious death. History will be changed very soon.
