Born quite a lot of years ago, this author left a smart girls' grammar school (the school was smart, the girls varied) to work for a number of businesses and professions; media, law, retail, charities and more, discovering in those she has met, and still meets, many people whose characters range from noble and admirable to downright quirky. The best and worst of all these characters remain with her, to be set down in print. Having escaped the rat race more or less unscathed, Beth writes fiction, none of which is to be taken too seriously. The world needs a quiet chuckle from time to time.
