Simply put-the best book illustrating a family enduring domestic abuse, narcissism, and family court corruption.
This book is already being utilized in the UK for training of professionals and to create awareness of this ubiquitous social problem. As a comprehensive roadmap through the broken custody court system, Nightmare in Hostage Hills shows step by step the numerous failures of mental health, medical, legal, and educational professionals to use established best practices based on the science of domestic and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and failure to enforce the law to protect children and their protective mothers from abuse and battering.
Adding to the author’s experience, training, and documented science, this book towers above the rest in its humanity. Expressed through her compassionate voice, passionate poetry, and children’s drawings and artwork about their love for their mother until the horrific brainwashing/DV By Proxy turned her into their enemy, the author expertly captures the silent horrors of domestic violence.
About the Author
Christina Mask earned her Masters in Clinical Social Work through one of the top social work graduate programs in the nation and went on to pursue further training in Dr. Minuchin’s Family Systems Therapy program at CHOP. During the custody massacre she and her children endured, she participated in a pioneer website devoted to embracing the many parents and grandparents who came on the show in tears pleading for reasons and solutions to why their grandchildren now said they hated them and for prayers for healing of their families.
Through this horrific journey, the author has displayed her astute clinical acumen and Divine light of truth on this epidemic in the USA. As the author experienced the domestic violence and narcissistic abuse firsthand at the hands of her relentlessly abusive husband while all professionals, family, and friends turned a blind eye, she voraciously researched top professional journals and domestic abuse research, theory, and evidence-based practice to stop the abuse and terrorism of her children by their father and the colluding professionals. She became well too aware of the cottage industry of greed and power which is usurping any semblance of sound ethical legal and mental health practices in family court. Not only has the author emerged from the stewpot of crooks and criminals who care nothing for the welfare of children and families in this rampant epidemic of narcissistic abuse which has resonated throughout our culture today, but lived to tell the story that aches to be revealed.
