Fred Whitman

Fred Whitman grew up in the coastal foothills of California. As a kid, he and his brothers explored the oak-covered hills for adventure and unexpected discoveries. His fascination with the miracles of life drove his desire to become a doctor. In 2001, after a short stint practicing dentistry in his home town of Ojai, he took a teaching job in San Francisco. A long-time fan of good-ole' Rock n' Roll, Whitman took full advantage of San Francisco's rich and historic music scene. Now a stone sculptor and fledgling author, Whitman is back in Ojai, enjoying family, the outdoors and the miracles of nature.
