Dwayne Ijames

Dwayne is a native of Winston-Salem, NC, growing up he carried a strong passion for sports. Dwayne played baseball and football during Winston-Salem’s best youth sports era to date. Dwayne attended R J Reynolds High School where he played baseball, football as well as ran track; he excelled most at football earning a scholarship to Elon University. He graduated with BA in Sociology Minor in Criminal Justice. Dwayne played Arena Football in South Texas from 2006-2008. After a lockout in 2008 he decided to retire from football and began working at what now is called Insight Human Services. Dwayne counseling profession has spanned over 9 years. Dwayne is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor; he serves the NCDPS probation/parole population in Substance Abuse counseling as well as Cognitive Behavior Interventions. Dwayne is an up and coming public speaker and mentor to high school athletes aspiring to pursue their dreams in professional sports. Dwayne is the proud father of two beautiful daughters and dedicated husband to his wife Victoria.
