Kent Jarrell is a communications crisis manager and former television correspondent who now is lucky enough to be able to look down on the Connecticut River and watch the tidal flows. With the assistance of his fellow authors at the Haddam Writer's Group, Jarrell is writing memoir pieces highlighting humorous, sad, and ironic moments going back to the hazy hippie days, to reporting in Washington D.C., and various points around the world, to counselling corporations on global "bet the company" crisis challenges.
As he writes his remembrances, he learned the techniques of historical research to add fact and color to the stories. That led to sobering discoveries. Sometimes his recollections, so clear in his own mind, turned out to be contrary what actually happened, and swayed by personal bias.
Such a journey!
Jarrell is also embarking on fictional stories, a special challenge for someone who had to stay within journalistic and legal guidelines for decades in his professional career.
