Christian Wirth

Dr. Christian Wirth is a political scientist focusing on East Asia and the Pacific. In the course of extending his expertise from law to international relations, he became interested in social and political developments of China, Japan and Korea, and redirected his career from public service to academia. Since 2005 he spent over ten years studying, researching and teaching in Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. Fascinated by the region's rich cultural diversity and the fast pace of change, he currently works on the politics in and around the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
