I, Frances Grace Rogers, M.S., am a retired mental health counselor. My successful private practice was in Maitland, Florida. Since my retirement I have focused on my art, musical compositions, and writings regarding human functioning. My current work is the result of a phenomenal creative illness and subsequent awakening, in 1992, of spatial right brain higher attributes. It was also a time when the illusions of my life began to topple evoking the insight of reality, especially the interconnection between humans and nature.
The next year, tragedies in my personal life evoked the decision to take a sabbatical. I moved to Bialystok, Poland to teach part-time at the local university’s department of psychology, and to begin research to comprehend what was happening to my mind. Nine months later, I returned to the U.S. and worked part-time; my personal focus was introspection. Six years later I moved to Tallahassee to be a support to my daughter and new grandson. At that time, access to the internet advanced my research exponentially.
Research, together with introspection, resulted in my first book, published in 2006, Of Golden Frogs and Such, A Story of Survival and Transformation. It was a memoir which resolved the many dimensions of oppression and abuse, including my family of origin and nightmare experiences with an evil psychologist. Also included in that book was the poetry evoked by the creative illness, as well as the awakening vision which transformed my life.
Through continual research, introspection, countless insights, and evolution of consciousness, three more books have been published: The Emergent Mind, 2010, Flatland, Spaceland, and Beyond, 2013. The fourth one, Empowered Humans: The Phenomenon of Being, 2016, essentially presents the human potential for wholeness and balance, empowered by the human spirit. It is knowledge, shared by example, of overcoming the manmade impediments to self-actualization. It also revealed my sense of purpose: to nurture the human spirit in others as well as to expose evil and the ignorance on which it feeds.
My sense of purpose has expanded, through the writing of Wholistic Psychology, to encourage others to achieve self-knowledge, the pathway to wholeness and freedom, and to overcome manmade evil by emphasizing what is right and good.
My classical musical compositions, which began in 1994, at age 50, also continues in orchestrated form. It is an amazing talent reflective of the creative forces of nature. Previous compositions are available to the public at soundcloud.com/the-emergent-mind.
