My current research links together human morality and genetics, telling the story of how DNA places us on the political spectrum and influences the political parties we support.

My first book was The Progressive Gene: How Genetics Influence the Morality of the Left (2017), and it describes the morality and political action of the Progressive faction of the Democratic Party. Progressives are restless about the direction of the American government and want it to change it into a form they think would be better for the American people.

My second book is titled Tribalism: The Curse of 21st Century America (2019). The book analyzes the Tribalist state that exists in the United States today; its causes and the impact it has on American society. The Right and Left have become polarized, and refuse to engage in a honest dialog with each other. This problem has spilled over into the political space where it has deadlocked the federal government and prevents issues important to the American people from moving forward. How can we reduce Tribalism and get the country moving again?

I published my third book in 2021, titled The Conservative Gene: How Genetics Shape the Complex Morality of the Right. Conservatives possess a morality unique from liberals and progressives, who seek to discard tradition and make rapid societal changes. Conservatives view rapid change as dangerous because it causes cultural disruption and involves the pursuit of impractical ideas. Conservatives value tradition and advocate a careful adoption of change based on maintaining the institutions that protect society against chaos. These institutions include family, social community, religious community, and respect for the country.

My fourth book, Twilight of the American Experiment: Without Moral Balance Our Republic Will Fall, was released in September 2023. The book recounts how the left dominates the culture and communication systems. The United States became a new nation modeled on freedom of speech and a person's right to express opinions, but now that balance has been tipped to the left.

The left controls academia, the cultural narrative, traditional media, and social media and uses them to paint American traditions as evil and corrupt. The balance between different views has become disrupted by the political left, which wishes to impose its ideology on the rest of us.
