David Kravetz

David Kravetz, known to thousands as “Sumoflam,” is a Lexington, Kentucky-based author, photographer, traveler, and self-described Experiential Documentarian. He is the creator of Sumoflam Productions and author of the Less Beaten Paths of America series, chronicling America’s back roads, quirky attractions, small towns, and overlooked places. His growing Nature Series, beginning with The Four Seasons of Jacobson Park, celebrates wildlife, landscapes, weather, and the natural world. David has traveled to all 50 states and throughout parts of Canada, Mexico, and Asia. He lived in Japan for six years and is fluent in Japanese. His long-running Less Beaten Paths travel blog features more than 500 stories, and his photography has received nearly 170 million views on Google Maps and is a Level 9 Local Guide. Whether documenting the beautiful, bizarre, or wonderfully weird, David believes some of the best discoveries happen when you leave the main road behind.
