Michael J. Gordon

After careers (some concurrent) as an urban planner, college professor, businessman, and ad executive, I am finally doing what I always wanted—writing, and having the time of my life. My work usually shades toward humorous fiction, creating characters who, odd as it sounds, need no help getting into situations all on their own—leaving me to just 'report' on their doings.

A novel, which my writing group seems to not be able to get enough of, is nearing completion. Its working title is "The Gospel of Ted," but that may change. Stay tuned.

My one venture into real life is a soon-to-be-published memoir, "Stringy Brisket," which answers the question of how a person whose mother couldn't cook (hence the title) winds up convincing his wife to become a restaurant critic.
