J.F. Schmitt

J.F. Schmitt is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, and currently resides in Lakeland, Florida. He holds degrees in political science, journalism, and law from Indiana University.

After practicing law for 12 years, he turned to journalism and teaching at Indiana University-Bloomington, Indiana University-Southeast (New Albany), Fort Valley State University (Georgia), American University in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and Texas State University-San Marcos.

He is a co-author of two law-related books, and has worked as an award winning reporter, columnist, photographer, and editor at daily and weekly newspapers in Indiana, Kentucky, and Texas.

He is the author of three novels: An Earth Alive, Angels in Hellholes, and The Healing Man.
