Charis Rooks

Dr. Charis M. Rooks, known affectionately as “Doc,” is a Christian leadership scholar, Bible teacher, professor, author, and publishing entrepreneur who equips others to grow in faith, deepen their understanding of Scripture, and step boldly into God’s purpose.

Dr. Rooks holds a PhD in Christian Leadership (Liberty University) and an MBA in Leadership (Oral Roberts University). She serves as a graduate-level professor and adjunct instructor in business and leadership. She also serves as a Doctoral Chair in the School of Divinity, guiding doctoral students with academic excellence, spiritual care, and practical leadership development. Her professional background includes ministry leadership, pastoral care, coaching, and executive experience as a founder, editor-in-chief, president, and CEO across publishing, consulting, ministry, transportation, and logistics.

She is the Founder of Inspired Grace Ministries LLC and CEO of Sapience Atelier, where she helps faith-driven writers, scholars, and leaders turn their messages into published works and sustainable impact through mentorship, consulting, and publishing support, especially for those called to write from lived experience, leadership, and testimony.

Dr. Rooks serves widows and widowers through the Anchored in Grace grief support community, and through Anchor & Grace Co., she creates faith-forward grief resources and provides practical support for anyone walking through loss. She believes grace meets us in the middle of grief, meeting us with comfort, anchoring our hearts, and guiding us through the next season.

Dr. Rooks is the author of The Kingdom Writer Collection and other resources designed to strengthen identity, obedience, and courage for writers who want their words to build God’s kingdom. Beyond her work, Doc treasures time spent with God, her two daughters, and her grandson. She finds joy in studying Scripture, traveling, and creating tools that help others heal and move forward, anchored in grace.
