Helen Wallace-Iles

Helen Wallace-Iles was born in 1966, into a world far less tolerant of differences than the one we live in today. Her first son was born in 1991, followed by two more sons and a daughter; all four are on the autism spectrum.

Helen is a qualified psychotherapist and hypnotherapist who ran a successful private practice for many years before founding her own charity (Autism All Stars Foundation UK) in 2011.

Ignoring the predictions of doom and gloom that surrounded her children when they were young, Helen followed her own path as a parent - choosing to accept them as they were and encourage them to live their best possible lives. As a result they've grown into happy, productive and independent people who all make a positive contribution to society.

'The Ringmaster's Tale' series follows their adventures and mishaps as well as offering a great deal of useful information about autism itself, and some superb therapeutic advice from someone who truly understands the day to day struggles autistic people and their families can face.

The first book in the series 'Autism, Asperger's Anarchy!' has been very well received and continues to offer sensible, practical advice to its readers. Written in an informal, conversational style, it opens a window into the world of autism that's accessible to everyone.
