Tanya Gerard

Tanya Gerard was born and raised in Australia. As a child she frequently traveled deep into the Australian bush and Outback with her mother and siblings. Through these experiences she developed a strong passion for wilderness and wildlife. Her father a great story teller, often told her stories of wolves from old Europe. These stories set in motion a lifelong inquiry into the lives of wolves. Tanya and her husband Rob have lived with wolves for the past 20 years.

The Adventures of the Wild Wild Wolf, is based on adventures while living in Northern New Mexico. The book was inspired by numerous real life interactions between the characters in the story. Their personalities are so dynamic they simply had to be out down on paper and shared with the world. Today, they currently live at the top of a mountain in North Carolina. Along with their wolf/dogs, Kinapak, Nanuq, Cassidy and Mammoth.
