Charles L. Rice

Charles L. Rice has been a professor of homiletics and pastoral care, now emeritus at Drew University and an Episcopal priest. Though he is now retired, SEA CAMP was commissioned and accepted for publication with an advance in 1972. The publisher folded and the book languished. Now restored it offers the same message now as then.

This book acknowledges that renewing one’s faith means discovering the spaciousness that God offers each individual. Being renewed means discovering the Kingdom of God in the present and finding that the good news can touch everyone.

Dr. Rice is the author of three books on pastoral care: Interpretation and Imagination,

The Embodied Word and Preaching the Story.
