Dr. Mark T. Peters II is a retired USAF career intelligence officer and was Master Cyber Operator. His most recent assignments included the Chief, Combat Operations overseeing worldwide airborne intelligence missions and Squadron Commander for the 18 Intelligence Squadron specializing in space-centric intelligence. He is the Senior Director for Solutions Architecture at Raft, creating innovative solutions for a wide range of customers using Data Platforms, AI, and complex applications. He is a global ambassador for the DevOps Institute (PeopleCert) and has authored numerous classes on DevOps for beginners and advanced practitioners. He would like everyone to know his success is only possible through the support of his wife and daughter.
Dr. Peters earned his first doctorate in 2016 from Henley-Putnam University, is an active CISSP, and a Ph.D. in Information Technology (Cybersecurity and Information Assurance in 2023. He is a certified Scaled Agile for Enterprise practitioner. He has published scholarly articles and reviews for several journals including the Journal of Law and Cyberwarfare, Aether. Strategic Studies Quarterly, Air and Space Power Journal, and the Journal of Strategic Security/ He is also a frequent technical reviewer for works on software development
He was commissioned upon graduation from the United States Air Force Academy and has served at every level throughout his career. He deployed in support of Operations ALLIED FORCE, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, NOBLE EAGLE, SOUTHERN WATCH and UNIFIED PROTECTOR.
He enjoys reading and competitive sports, and is a black belt in judo. As a younger athlete, he wrestled for the Air Force Academy, then coached wrestling for about 10 years while competing in North American Strongman as a lightweight. He greatly enjoys drawing, time with his family, and his two Great Danes.
