David Hayes

I was born on Hallowe'en in 1955 in the North West of England in a cotton weaving and coal mining town.

My first book was of stories and anecdotes from my childhood in the early 60s, through to the early 70s. The title of the book is 'What Has He Done Now?' It's a gentle and whimsical walk through the sights, sounds and experiences of my childhood. I know that this book is treasured by quite a few people, as it was almost a blueprint of their childhood too.

My second book 'Mysteria - An Anthology of Spooky and Mysterious Tales' is completely different from my first. I have always had a passion for a good, well told ghost story, and have had quite a few paranormal experiences of my own from my very youngest years (I had a rather spooky imaginary playmate). I am also an amateur paranormal investigator.

My third book was a continuation of What Has He Done Now? It brings everything up-to-date. I also introduce Albert, my comedic, old age doppelganger.

The fourth book is Ghosts and Other Aberrations. My latest book of spooky tales. As in my first book, the stories not only set out to be creepy, they also show the human side and the emotions of those that are experiencing the story. Many of them are tear jerkers too.
