Carol Franks-Randall

My name is Carol Franks-Randall, and I have spent over 35 years as a teacher, special education administrator, elementary principal, School Superintendent and college professor in New York. During that time I worked with and taught children across the learning continuum. My husband Robert and I have four children between us and have six grandchildren. We relocated to Maryland’s Eastern Shore and I’ve continued my love for books and literacy development as a community volunteer. I am an avid reader and like to surround myself with books, books and more books.

Jamal and Me is a story aimed at a 4-8 year old audience that can serve as an independent reader for older children and a read aloud book for younger children. My second book, Playground Heroes, tackles bullying and is aimed at children aged 5-9. It endeavors to encourage children to be kind and courageous and stand up to bullies when it is appropriate to do so. My third book, Talking Buddies is a story about a boy who immigrates to the United States and has to adjust a new place, a new school and a new language. It is aimed at a 5-9 year audience but can be enjoyed by older children as well.
