Elaine Stewart

My name is Elaine Stewart. I am a native of Florida and have a rich heritage of Cherokee, Irish and German ancestry. I am married and have two daughters, two sons-in-love, one stepdaughter and two stepsons. I am also blessed with ten granddaughters, two grandsons, and one great-grandson.

I have always had an active imagination and loved to write short stories and poetry from a very early age. However, it was not until I retired from a career in nursing that I had the urge to memorialize some of my thoughts and fantasies by writing my first novel,

"And Then It Rained", a mystery set in the Southwest during the unrest of the 1960's. I found the experience extremely satisfying and, since writing the first book, I have completed a second and am in the middle of a third. I suppose that, after so many years, once the floodgates opened, there was no quelling the tide! I hope that you will read and enjoy my first effort!
