Saga of struggle and success

It is really a nice and a unique experience to know personal details and story of life long struggle of a simple person coming from a small village to a big city like New Delhi through his book “From morning to evening of life”.

When my dear friend Shri Rabindra Narayan Mishra informed me all of a sudden that he has written a book, I was a little surprised but felt very delighted. A person who struggles and is able to achieve a goal in life, becomes an example for spreading hope, positive energy in this world of negativity. Although the book is in Maithili language, I attempted to go through some of its pages and relished the way of natural way of presentation of sequence of events and its interpretation by the writer himself. In fact, it is not a simple narration of facts or events of life rather it resembles a colourful picture of life, punctuated with not only colour, but humour, happiness and sufferings, failures as well success in one’s life. The motto of his life of struggle is “Peace begins with us”.

Shri Rabindra Narayan Mishra is presently working as Special Metropolitan Magistrate under Hon’ble High Court of Delhi. After working in various ministries, he rose to be Deputy Secretary in Government of India. During his tenure, he was holding various significant portfolios. I have seen his temperament and behavior at personal level during our regular interactions in Central Administrative Tribunal, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi, where we used to meet on almost daily basis, after we got registered as Advocate in the Bar Council of India, Sri Fort Road, New Delhi and decided to practice mainly in CAT and try to learn some techniques of advocacy and also try to help the needy government servants with our legal knowledge and life-long experience. Once, I read somewhere that “People are so unpredictable – even if you live your life as an open book.. …People will suspect that something is hidden still and wonder which pages have secret stories !” It is worthwhile to mention that prior to it, I read some of his small write-ups and articles on social & national issues received by email. I have no hesitation to say that he has wonderful command not only over English but Hindi too. He knows proper use of words and appropriate place, where and when to use them and in which style, so that his message is properly conveyed to the reader. He is a pure vegetarian and is also a frugal eater. He is a man of few words and has only limited requirements that lends him status of ‘A Saint in while clothes”.

I feel that “Love and kindness are small words in our dictionary but they have a vital power to change the world in and around us.” In this context, I would like to recall the unconditional devotion, love and affection with which he has nursed his respected ailing mother during her last days. At the end, I must say that this book is a wonderful collection of efforts, failures and successes of a person who ultimately achieved a lot in life and has set a living character before the readers.

I salute his efforts, deeds, humanity, spiritual thoughts and his simple way of life with no pomp and show.

I wish him every happiness in life ahead and eagerly await his second book of poetry, or essays on social issues.

आय हमरा हाथ में श्री रबीन्द्र नारायण मिश्रजी के संस्मराणत्मक पोथी " भोर सँ सांझ धरि "अछि । पोथी पढला क उपरांत एक टा अनुभूति जन्य भावना जे भेल तकरा अनुसार हम उत्साहित छी कि श्री रबीन्द्रजी में गद्य लेखक व कवित्व के प्रखर प्रतिभा उपस्थित छैन । संस्मरणात्मक पोथी लिखब कथा व कविता लिखब जेकां सोझ कार्य नय होय थिक । अहि लेखन में भावना उमडि के राह के बाधित करैत हेतैन जेना हमरा लागल।

रबीन्द्र जी संवेदनशील व्यक्तित्व छैथ तहि दुआरे अपन लेखनी के माय के ममता के दिस पहिने लऽ के विदा भेलखिन । " कुपुत्रो जायेत क्वचिदपि कुमाता न भवति " संसार अहि पर टिकल छै आरू इ पोथी ,जहि में हुनकर माय से जुडल बहुत रास संस्मरण छै ,उत्कृष्ट लेखन वा लेखनी समक्ष अछि ,जे हुनकर प्रतिष्ठित पद पर रहला के सेहो प्रतिबिंब देखबैत छै .

मनुष्य एकटा यात्रा में आवैत छै जिनगी के रूप में ,जहि में बहुत पडाव के रूप में चलैत बढैत ओ अपन गंतव्य के दिस बढैत जाऐछै , मुदा माय के प्रभाव ओकर व्यक्तित्व पर सर्वदा संस्कार के रूप में देखाय पडैत रहै छै । माँ जहि से दुनिया जहि से मनुष्य के जीवन उत्थान होयछै ,ओहि माँ के संस्मरण में पोथी लिख के वड पुनीत कार्य केलैथ मिश्रजी । पोथी में बचपन सँ पैघ भेला के वादो लेखक अपन माय के डोर सँ जुडल छथिन ,जखन कि आय कायल सबसे कम समय लोग अपना बूढ माय बाप के देयछै । इ वाक्य कनि हताश भऽ लिख रहल छी कि ' मिथिला में आय सबसे बेसी अगर कियो असगरे के कष्ट से गुजैर रहल अछि तऽ ओ वृद्धक हाँज छैथ । किया तऽ बाहैर एला के बाद लोग अपन परिवार कऽ तऽ ल आनैय य शहर मुदा छडि आवय य गाम में बाट ताकैत गाम में ओसार पर बाबु , अँगना में माय । लेखक के स्नेह परिवार के प्रति हुनकर जिनगी के सबसे नीक बिंदु छयन ।

नवका पोखरि के संदर्भ में जेना मिश्रजी लिखैत छथिन कि " स्त्रीगण कहथिन कि " हर हर महादेव

जानह हे महादेव " कतेक विश्वास ईश्वर के प्रति अनादि काल से स्त्रीलोक में होयत छै ,माँ धर्मपारयण रहथिन हुनकर ....

एकटा श्लोक मोन से जोडि देलक अहि संस्मरण के पढि

वालो हम जगदानंद ,नमो बाला सरस्वती

अपूर्णे पंचमें बरखे वर्णयामि जगत्रयम '

अयाची मिश्र के पुत्र जखन शंकर राजा के हरा देलखिन जखन कहैत छथिन की हम छोट छी हमर सरस्वती नय छोट छथिन । हमरो बाबु हमरा सबके बचपन में अहि मंत्र से शुरूआत करेलखिन ।

पोथी पढि के पाठक अपन मोन से जोडि के समझे अहि से नीक आरू कि ? कखनो नोर तअ कखनो मुस्का जायैत छलौं एहि पोथी के पढैत काल ।
