I spent my entire career working in the entertainment business, spending 25 years at Warner Bros. Records in both the R&B department and the jazz department. Oh yes, I was VERY lucky. In fact, the preface of the book is called "Pop Life -- How Did I get so lucky?"
I held many positions but I loved being Vice President Special Projects most of all as I was able to be CREATIVE! I did marketing, "alternative marketing" (that's when you couldn't get exposure through radio), co-sponsorships with many major corporations, TV shows about our artists, and much more. That ability to use my creativity certainly worked well in the World of Prince.
The Warner Bros. roster was rich in artist talent, giving me the opportunity to work with some of the greatest artists a person could hope for.
My first book, MOMENTS, Remembering Prince is based on my close relationship to both Prince and the people who worked around him. While I was reticent to write the book, I realized there was a need to convey many of the sides of Prince that most people never saw and never even realized existed. The book is filled with the humour (he was a VERY funny guy), the incredible acts of charity, his concern for other people, and the amazing people who worked for and around him. I wanted to "humanize" him for the fans.
Upon retiring from Warner Bros Records in 2001, I moved to Australia where I have acted as an entertainment consultant as well as a graphic designer with my own company, Memories4you.
I LOVE to travel to far-away places with my photography interest.
