Writing about food is a somewhat new experience for me however cooking has been my life and remains my passion. Especially Mediterranean cuisine. I am a Washington DC native and began my professional cooking career after graduating culinary school and moving to the Los Angeles area in the early 80's. A career as a private chef has given me the opportunity to travel around Europe and the Mediterranean regions to learn about food far beyond what I encountered in California. I am an avid lover of fresh organic + local ingredients firmly rooted in the central coast of California.
