Laura Hockley

Laura Hockley grew up with a passion for books. From an early age she devoured stories, and in turn, learnt to craft her own. While putting her children to bed one night, the genesis of the idea behind her debut picture book "Our Mum is Fun" was born. Lovingly written, and illustrated by Aliosa Tran Phan, this debut offered a sweet introduction to an author driven by love of storytelling, and of sharing those stories first and foremost with her own children, and then with the children of those around her.

Since then she has written and illustrated the follow-up to this "Life on the Farm" which will be released as both a Kindle Book and in print, and her third title "What Does a Belly Button Do?" is also underway, with illustration being contracted again to Aliosa Tran Phan and will be released in 2018.

Laura is also working on her a middle grade fantasy novel, the tale of young Penelope who makes a discovery which could forever change the course of not only her life, but the lives of her family as well.

She lives in Australia with her two children and an extensive library which threatens weekly to burst at the seams and take over their entire home.
