Christine Hunt was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She met her future husband at the swimming pool when he splashed her in the face. Three years later she married her highschool sweetheart. A couple years later they both joined the U.S. Army under the "buddy" program. They were stationed together at Ft Ord, California where their first child was born. Both were in competitive shooting. When their enlistment ended they returned to Columbus, Ohio to be near family. They both went to college, worked and raised their children.
Both are retired and enjoying learning new skills like golf and having time to engage in old hobbies like watercolors and gardening.........and camping.
Family was always priority one. Their son's drug of choice was alcohol but after losing their youngest son, Ian, to a drug overdose, they wanted to do something to help people understand that this can happen in any family at any time, that no one is immune. Today, 174 people overdose every day......that is a whole plane load......every day. The hope is that by publishing their story, another family may be spared this grief.
