I was born and raised in a Hindu home in Trinidad West Indies. I was converted to Christ at age 15, filled with the Holy Spirit and felt called to the Christian ministry at age 16. I have been a pastor for almost twenty years, most of which has been in Canada. I was the founding pastor of Agape Chapel in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and served that congregation for seventeen years. I have preached and/or taught in South America, Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Fiji, England, Africa and Indonesia.

After pastoring for many years, I felt the Lord leading me to a ministry of helping pastors develop their preaching skills. To that end, I have prepared myself by studying for, and receiving, two doctorates in homiletics: a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from Westminster in California in 1993 and a Doctor of Theology from the University of South Africa in 2001. The title of my Doctor of Theology dissertation is “Pentecostal Preaching in North America.”

I have been married to Rubena for 33 years and have two adult children, Sharla and Christa and the proud grandfather of two grandchildren. I have made my home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for over 35 years.
