Roger R. Ziegler

Hello friends. I feel blessed to enter into a courageous new world that extends my hand to the hearts of those who need encouragement. My insight, my passion, and my fantastic purpose is born from years of struggle and through the twists and wild turns while in the front seat of our son's uncontrollable illness. I've learned how precious life truly is and my desire is to lock arms with those who need an uplifting word.

Writing has been a special desire from my earliest years. From short stories to poetry to song lyrics and funny tales, I delivered a creative approach throughout my grade school days. As I entered into my twenties and thirties, I focused on raising our family with my precious wife. Writing became something I did as an employee in Corporate America. This narrative explored the tactics of emails and business communication with customers and teammates.

Then, I suddenly found myself thrust into an informative and update-style of writing through a hospital communication system and parent portal; similar to that of Facebook, but years before the popular social media platform existed. This system was used to update our friends and family, one submission at a time, with the latest health status of our son who battled years with chronic illness issues. The posts were designed to provide health updates, but also to bring the human element into the reader's mind. I used humor, poignant stories, and tugged on hearts with heart-wrenching aspects of our son's fight. These posts continued for a few years.

During our medical battle with our son, a friend urged me to write a book concerning his journey. I agreed and began what ultimately became an eight-year project. Through heavy tears and a pounding heart, I poured out my everything into Patchwork Kid. I self-published the memoir and decided this was the best route as an aspiring writer. I look forward to future speaking engagements as my focus is to declare God's hope during the most overwhelming circumstances.

My love for writing continues. I recently launched my next book about the powerful hope that exists through the darkest valley. The Hope Parade is an uplifting message to the reader that hope isn't merely a glimmer - it's a dazzling parade!

And my debut novel - Thirty-three Crows - a modern fantasy with deep moving tones, is available now. This is the first of a 3-book saga and I look forward sharing this with you all. Enjoy!

I appreciate your time dipping your toe into my world, if you will, and investing your precious hours in reading my work. My prayer is for your life to be encouraged, inspired, and that you take away a glimpse of something powerful to enhance your days. Sometimes, a glimpse is all you need.

May God richly bless you.

Sincerely,

Roger
