Lillian Pluta

Lillian Pluta, is a former middle school language arts teacher who homeschooled both her sons through high school. In addition to the Teddy series, she’s written poetry, short stories, and articles for a variety of children’s publications and educational companies, most recently including Super Teacher Worksheets, Military Kids’ Life, and Innovative Kids. She’s also been a contender twice in Madness Poetry, an annual tournament for children’s poets. A long time member of the Society of Children’s Book Authors and Illustrators (SCBWI), she loves writing in different styles and genres. Lillian was delighted to be chosen as the author of the Teddy Cares for Kids books and had great fun bringing the little blue bear’s stories to life. Lillian lives along the South Texas Coast with her son and a small menagerie of rescued animals. Her interests include learning to play classical guitar and watching sumo wrestling.
