John J. M. Schmidt

Born in Spokane, Washington, John J. M. Schmidt grew up in Butte, Montana, before moving to eastern Pennsylvania.

Surrounded by Pennsylvania's rich heritage... Colonial times, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War... and coming from families that served in almost every American conflict since the mid 1600's, it was easy to develop a passion for history.

A graduate of Penn State University, John has 42 years of experience in construction as a small specialty contractor.

Currently, he spends his writing time working on Book 2 of the Warlords trilogy. Also in the creative stage is a collection of fairy tales, set with the children of the characters from the Warlords, for his two grandchildren.
