ROBERTO GALLI

Born in Treviglio in 1980, began studying music at the Conservatorio “G. Nicolini” (Piacenza) where he took classes under Prof. Daniele Sacchi (percussion) and Prof. Carlo Alessandro Landini (composition). Then he studied at the Milan Conservatorio “G. Verdi”

instrumentation and direction for the band and studying teaching musical instrument. He attended the summer courses in Jazz at Siena and Veneto-Jazz Summer Academy. Among his teachers, the vibraphonist Saverio Tasca and Dave Samuels, Andrea Dulbecco, Mike Quinn. He has worked with the Bresciawind Band, the Orchestra of Woodwind in Soncino, the Piacenza Orchestra “Amilcare Zanella” and the Orchestra “Alpe Adria”,Orchestra “ Valle camonica” ecc.. He took part in major competitions for band, like the “Certamen Bandas de Musica” in Valencia (Spain), kerkrade (olanda ). In June 2004 he won a prize at the Contest for Band Composition “Pellegrino Caso” in Vietri sul Mare with his work “Lisa’s Dream”. In October 2005 he was finalist at the International Award for Percussion Composition during the Fermo Festival. In May 2007 he won the First Prize in the 7th Contest “Placido Mandanici” in Barcellona. In June 2008 he was awarded the Second Prize at the Composition for Percussion Contest sponsored by “Doug Wallace Percussion” (Usa). He is the author of the musical tale “Richard Lionheart”, written with educational purposes. He has published music and methods for musical instrument with Artemide, Eufonia, Doug Wallace Percussion.

He teaches percussion and drums at the state music high school in Bergamo. Is known as an experienced musician for music courses in primary schools in northern Italy.
