Amina Chitembo

Dr Amina Chitembo is a British Zambian author, publisher, leadership and transformation professional, educator and speaker whose work explores courage, identity, leadership, inclusion and personal growth.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning the NHS, academia, the voluntary sector and private organisations, Amina brings together professional practice, research and lived experience to help people recognise their potential, find their voice and lead with greater confidence, authenticity and purpose.

Amina holds a PhD in Leadership and Organisational Studies from De Montfort University. Her doctoral research explored highly skilled migrant women’s self-inclusion into leadership, reflecting her longstanding interest in leadership, belonging, organisational culture and the barriers that can prevent talented people from fully stepping into their potential.

She is also the founder of Diverse Cultures Publishing, an independent publishing imprint through which she has developed expertise in writing, editing, book development and publishing. Alongside publishing her own work, Amina has co written, compiled and edited books for other authors, supporting them in transforming their ideas, knowledge and experiences into published works.

Amina is the author of the Fearlessly Becoming Trilogy, comprising Stepping Into Courage: A Gentle Start to Your Becoming, Radiantly Becoming: Reclaiming Your Light and Fearlessly Leading: Standing Tall and Leading Boldly. Together, the trilogy takes readers on a journey from finding the courage to begin, to reclaiming their light, and ultimately to leading with confidence, purpose and authenticity.

She has also authored and contributed to books on leadership, personal development, high performance and overcoming fear.

A multi-award-winning professional and former African Women in Europe Entrepreneur of the Year, Amina has spoken at events in the UK and internationally.

At the heart of her writing and publishing is a commitment to amplifying diverse voices and encouraging people to recognise the value of their own stories, experiences and perspectives.

Her guiding belief is simple: becoming is not about becoming someone else. It is about having the courage to step more fully into who you already are.
