Meet Bee Maree

Bianca Marie Oscar, known by her pen name Bee Maree, is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, who has called the New Orleans area home for over a decade. Writing has always been an outlet for her, allowing her to express thoughts, feelings, and emotions that aren't always easy to say aloud.

Through poetry, Bee Maree shares her experiences with love, heartbreak, disappointment, healing, and the challenges that come with navigating life. Her writing is personal, honest, and sometimes uncomfortable. She doesn't shy away from expressing the emotions that many people experience but struggle to put into words.

Outside of writing, Bee Maree is a social worker who has dedicated her career to helping others. She also has a passion for working with young adolescent girls, which led her to create Young Black Girlhood, a mentorship initiative focused on building self-esteem, encouraging sisterhood, and helping young girls recognize their worth while navigating life's challenges.

Bee Maree has self-published four poetry collections: *Tense: Journey of an Unknown Poet*, *Unfinished Business: Letters to a Broken Me*, *Remnants of Love*, and *Pen Versus Actions*. Her fifth collection, *RELENTLESS*, is set to release December 5, 2026.

Bee Maree continues to share her most intimate experiences through poetry with the hope that someone, somewhere, will find a piece of their own story in her words. Whether it's love, loss, healing, or simply trying to make sense of life's experiences, she hopes her writing reminds others that their feelings are valid, their experiences matter, and they are not alone.
