S. Marie Rose

S. Marie Rose was born in Waterbury, CT. She's the oldest of three siblings, the mother of two young boys and a giant book nerd. Romance novels are her kryptonite and laughing uncontrollably at her own jokes is a problem those around her have failed miserably at trying to rectify.

As a young girl she felt strongly about a future that would allow her to assist those less fortunate from all walks of life. Which is why, after graduating from Central Connecticut State University in 2005, she began working for a non-profit agency that specialized in providing vocational and residential services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2011, she received a Master's Degree in Education and since then, she continues to advocate for the rights of those with disabilities.

More than anything, writing has always been her passion. Suffering from anxiety and depression at a young age, she utilized her interest in reading and writing as an outlet for a way to express herself clearly and calm her otherwise jumbled thoughts.

Coming from a large extended family, she credits her drive and motivation to the support and reinforcement she received from her loved ones throughout her entire life. Especially, her parents and grandparents who always believed in her abilities to accomplish anything she put her mind to.

Life as a mom with a full time job began to take precedence over some of her goals and aspirations until she finally decided to take her biggest chance yet "Doves and Demons", (Book: One, The Taking Flight series) became her first published eBook in September 2017. As a new author and a fan of all genres of literature (but again, mostly romance) she hopes that her work shines light on her passion and that those looking for an outlet from their own crazy hectic schedules can find what they are looking for in her books.

Above all, her message to readers is to never be afraid to take chances because life is way to short for regrets.
