Peter Testa

Peter Testa is a design innovation leader whose work spans Architecture, Art, Design, AI and Robotics. He is Principal of Los Angeles based architecture and design studio Testa & Weiser Inc. His work is exhibited at museums worldwide, and is in the permanent collection of the Canadian Centre for Architecture CCA. He is Senior Design Faculty at SCI-Arc (The Southern California Institute of Architecture) where he recently co-founded the school’s robotics and imaging initiative. Previously he was Associate Professor of Architecture at MIT where he directed the Emergent Design Group (EDG) in Architecture, AI Lab, and Media Lab.

In Robot House: Instrumentation, Representation, Fabrication, Thames & Hudson (2017) Testa proposes a post-digital design paradigm and improvisational model of robotics and that bridges digital and physical worlds. The book documents next generation design and imaging techniques applying Robotics, Machine Vision, and Augmented Reality for architects, designers, artists, and film makers.
