Heidi Amsinck

Heidi Amsinck is the award-winning author of the bestselling Danish crime fiction series featuring Jensen, a Copenhagen reporter who stops at nothing in her quest for the truth. The latest book in the series is 'The Woman in the Wall' (2026).

Heidi won the Danish Criminal Academy's Debut Award for the first book in the series, 'My Name is Jensen' (2021), which was followed by 'The Girl in the Photo' (2023), 'Back from Dead' (2024) and 'Out of the Dark' (2025). A journalist by background, Heidi spent many years covering Britain for the Danish press, including a spell as London Correspondent for the broadsheet daily Jyllands-Posten.

In 2026, her second Jensen mini series, 'Black Water', was broadcast on BBC Radio 4, following on from 'The Bellevue Poltergeist' in 2024. Many of her Nordic Noir short stories have been read on Radio 4, including the three-story sets Danish Noir, Copenhagen Confidential and Copenhagen Curios, all produced by Sweet Talk and featuring in her collection Last Train to Helsingør (2018).

Heidi's writing has been translated into Danish, German, Czech and Dutch. She lives in London and writes in English and Danish.
