Rachel McBride Lindsey

Rachel McBride Lindsey is assistant professor of American religious history and culture in the Department of Theological Studies at Saint Louis University. She writes about visual cultures and technologies of religion, race, and citizenship in the United States. Her scholarship has been published in American Quarterly, the Journal of Africana Religions, the Journal of Southern Religion, and Religion & Politics. Her teaching project, Arch City Religion, explores the religious life, history, and culture of St. Louis from the colonial period through the present day. She is currently at work on a book about religion, media, and citizenship in the twentieth century.
