R. A. Hassan

R.A. Hassan went to the English School Cairo, and then on to Cairo University where she earned a BA Hons in English Language and Literature in 1964. She has been working in Radio, TV and print journalism since 1960.

As a child in the junior school, she was allowed to use the senior school library as a reward for writing stories that caught the attention of the headmaster. Her passion for books and for reading and writing has stayed with her. She won membership of the International Society of Poets, MD U.S.A. and received the Outstanding Achievement Silver Cup in 2002.

Her husband passed away (RIP) in 2022. They have two sons and two grandchildren
