David Crumm

I have been a journalist for more than 40 years, specializing in media projects exploring the world’s cultural and religious diversity. For several decades, from my home base in southeast Michigan, I worked as a senior writer and editor for major newspapers, reporting on occasion from across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

In 2007, I created a weekly online magazine (www.ReadTheSpirit.com) and co-founded a publishing house (www.FrontEdgePublishing.com). These vocational pathways led to the creation of Our Lent, a 40-day reader based on biblical passages from the final days of Jesus’s life, each entry connecting to people and events in our modern world. In the pages of that unusual, inspirational book, readers encounter a wide range of celebrities and news events as we thoughtfully reflect on Jesus's teachings. The original edition was later updated in the gold-covered book.
