R. A. Nelson

Hello, dear reader!

I'm R. A. Nelson (you can call me Ruth!), author of the "Gatekeeper" trilogy and "The Ancient". Though novels are my specialty, I also write plenty of poetry. I live in upstate New York with my husband and inimitably winsome dog. I enjoy reading, running, cooking, watching movies, and drinking wine, but I like writing best of all.

My greatest literary influences include J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Madeleine L'Engle. I also love J.K. Rowling, Rick Riordan, and Brian Jacques, not to mention many writers of yesteryear.
