Brian M Van Heck

Brian M. Van Heck is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and currently lives in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina with his wife, Elizabeth. Besides completing his mortuary science education at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Brian is a graduate of St. John’s University in Minnesota where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in theology. He furthered his education by receiving a Master’s in counseling from Michigan State University. Brian possesses nearly twenty years of unique funeral service experience. His personal philosophy for serving families in their time of need is to walk with them to create a meaningful and unique ceremony that honors the life of their loved one. Serving community through funeral service is paramount to Brian; he considers it not only a ministry, but also his life’s calling. In addition to serving families, Brian is an active volunteer in community outreach programs that promote recovery and personal growth. Brian and Elizabeth enjoy spending time together outdoors and especially on the water where Brian is a competitive slalom skier.
