Greg Gerber

A native of Wisconsin now living in Arizona, Greg Gerber is a DODO (Dad of Daughters Only) to three grown women with families of their own. Yet, he still speaks fluent female. He has visited every state except Hawaii and loves to write.

A journalist by trade, Greg spent 17 years covering the recreation vehicle (RV) industry by editing several magazines before venturing out on his own to create the industry’s first online daily publication, blog and podcast.

When that business abruptly ended in 2017, Greg entered a dark period where he questioned whether there was any purpose to his life. During the summer of 2021, a mentor helped him realize he was not alone in those doubts. Many seasoned citizens who are either retired or about to enter the second half of their lives do not know what the next best step would be for them to take in order to live life to the full.

While they planned to retire and take life easy as they sailed into the sunset, many people -- especially men -- soon found themselves unfulfilled by playing golf or fishing all day and then passing time by doomscrolling through endless news stories or social media posts.

Greg founded Forward From 50 to help men and women over 50 to live more purposeful lives by pursuing things they are truly passionate about. Today, he helps them identify the purpose for which they were specifically created to perform at this stage of their lives, and then take the vital first step toward using their unique skills, talent and life experiences to help others.

Forward From 50 includes a blog offering feature stories and insightful information as well as a podcast where people over 50 tell their stories in their own words about how the second half of their lives moved in an entirely different direction. Greg also provides coaching services, does public speaking and offers training to help people discover their purpose and pursue it.
