Theresa Chatman

Dr. Theresa Chatman (1968---) is from the growing city of Dublin, Georgia. She received an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Brewton Parker College in Mt. Vernon, Georgia (1999), a Master’s of Science Degree in Special Education, Georgia Southern University (2004), an Education Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning, GSU (2008) and most recently a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Special Education Leadership, Capella University (2015). Dr. Chatman is an ordained Baptist minister and has served in the role of Youth Pastor in one of the greatest churches in the Montgomery County area under the leadership of Bishop A. Tim Chatman, Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She has a passion for serving and inspiring others to achieve to their highest potential. Dr. Chatman has been an educator for 18 years with the majority of those years in the Dublin City School System. Her most recent endeavor is the writing of her first book. She is an outstanding role model to the students she instructs. She authored "If It Had Not Been For the Lord" as a tool to help women to overcome challenges that they have faced. Dr. Chatman resides in the city of Dublin, Georgia with her husband, James and teenage son, Travis. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.--Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter, Atlanta, GA.
