Inspired by the brave women who wear the police uniform every day, Rabe-Hemp has explored the ability of women police to survive and thrive in the “All Boys Club” of policing. She has interviewed women police from across the nation exploring their experiences, career paths, and unique contribution to the male-dominated field of policing. Dr. Rabe-Hemp has published extensively in the area appearing the top criminology/criminal justice journals for her area of scholarship and bridging the gap between theory and practice. In 2016, Rabe-Hemp won the CAST Outstanding Researcher award for her work. She currently teaches at Illinois State University.
