Decoyar Brown

Decoyar Brown was born in Kingston, Jamaica. At an early age, he would use his action figures and toys to act out scenes he had seen in television shows and movies. At the age of five, his mother took him to see his first Kung Fu film. Then, he fell in love with action films. Growing up, he read Fable stories, Greek-based Myths and Legend novels and graphic novels. He migrated to the States when he was sixteen and always had a passion for illustrating before then. He went to a university in Orlando, Florida that taught him about character development, design, and how to build the protagonist, and antagonist in a story or film. He would often write stories based on the characters he had designed and soon they formed into a novel. His favorite authors are Aesop the storyteller, Brent Weeks, Dan Brown and Mel Odom. Decoyar Brown is currently living in Orlando, Florida where he shares joint custody of his three sons.
