Robert von Heeren

Robert von Heeren studied classical music in Munich, completing the First State Examination in classical guitar and piano. After fifteen years as a music teacher, he moved into IT, working as a Senior Web Producer, technical project manager and Head of SEO, and most recently as a product manager and curriculum developer in digital adult education, specialising in web analytics, online marketing and artificial intelligence.

His books reflect this dual track: on one side, professional titles on Google Analytics and web analytics; on the other, ephemerides and research on the centaur asteroids — a field he has worked in since 1995, and for which he and Dieter Koch proposed the name of asteroid 7066 Nessus, adopted by the International Astronomical Union in 1997.

Running alongside all of this is a lifelong passion for music, expressed among other things in recordings of more than 800 classical piano pieces ranging from the Baroque to the modern era.
