Kim Ellis

Kim Ellis began her writing career with a red crayon under her parents’ coffee table. At age four, she upgraded to the closet door. Now, as a retired teacher, she is still scribbling away, producing stories that have appeared in Cricket, High Five Magazine for Children, Stinkwaves, and Skipping Stones magazines. Kim won first prize for children’s poetry in Children’s Writer Newsletter (February 2014). She is a teacher consultant with the Hudson Valley Writing Project. She enjoys yoga, quilting, and hanging out with her granddaughters. Tangled in Magic is her first published book, Guided by Magic is the second, Awakening Magic is the third, and Ripples of Magic is the fourth in the series.
