V K Chand

Virendar Chand, author of THE NRI GUIDE has been an NRI since 1970. The current issue of THE NRI GUIDE is the third edition, published on September 18, 2017. This book has been completely updated to incorporate the latest changes in rules and regulations. Several new topics of interest to NRIs have also been added. As an NRI for the last 47 years and an OCI holder for over 10 years, Virendar Chand keeps himself updated on various issues that may affect non-resident Indians, OCI holders and Persons of Indian origin who have opted for foreign citizenship.

Following his retirement in 2006, he keeps himself busy as the administrator of a website called NriInformation.com. This website offers helpful tips and information to non-resident Indians settled across the globe. He is also the administrator of TravelIndiaSmart.com a website devoted to travel in India.

He currently lives in North America, spending time with family and friends in Seattle, Vancouver, Toronto and India. Frequent visits to India for extended periods and a firsthand experience of being an NRI and OCI for decades allows him to provide NRIs across the globe, information and tips on various issues that they may have to deal with due to their non-resident status.
